8.2 Is your data safe with us? We use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data stored with us against manipulation, partial or complete loss, and unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments. You should always treat your login information confidentially and close the browser window when you have finished communicating with us, especially if you share your computer, tablet, or smartphone with others. We also take internal data protection very seriously. Our employees and the service providers we engage have been obligated to maintain confidentiality and to comply with data protection regulations. 8.3 Is the same level of protection provided when data is transferred to the USA? For the sake of completeness, we would like to point out to users residing or based in Switzerland that surveillance measures are in place in the USA by US authorities that generally allow the storage of all personal data of all individuals whose data has been transferred from Switzerland to the USA. This occurs without differentiation, restriction, or exception based on the objective pursued, and without an objective criterion that would allow US authorities to restrict access to the data and its subsequent use to very specific, strictly limited purposes that could justify the interference associated with both access to and use of this data. We would also like to point out that in the USA, data subjects from Switzerland do not have any legal remedies that would allow them to access the data concerning them and to obtain its correction or deletion, nor does there exist any effective judicial protection against general access rights of US authorities. We explicitly draw your attention to this legal and factual situation to enable you to make an informed decision regarding consent to the use of your data. Users based or residing in an EU member state or Switzerland are advised that, from the perspective of the European Union, the USA does not have an adequate level of data protection – due, among other things, to the issues mentioned in this section. 8.4 Which law do we apply? And where is the law applied? This Privacy Policy and the contracts concluded based on or in connection with this Privacy Policy are subject to Swiss law, unless the law of another country is mandatory. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Illunauten GmbH, unless another place of jurisdiction is mandatory. 8.5 Can this declaration be amended? Should individual parts of this Privacy Policy be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining parts of the Privacy Policy. The invalid part of the Privacy Policy must be replaced in such a way that it comes as close as possible to the economically intended purpose of the invalid part. Due to the further development of our website and offerings or due to changes in legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy. The most current privacy policy is published on our website. 8.6 Questions about data protection? Please contact us! This page was last updated on April 26, 2025.
